About Torris

Burn the board. Outlast your rival.

Torris is a free, online turn-based strategy game for 2 to 4 players. Slide your flame across the board in a straight line, and every tile it crosses burns to ash behind it — the board only ever shrinks. Leave your rivals with no legal move and you win. Most duels run about two minutes.

The idea

The rule is simple on purpose: burned ground never returns. That kills stalling outright — there's no hiding in a corner and running the clock — and it rules out a draw entirely, so every match ends in a real decision. It also leaves a record: the scorch marks on a finished board are the whole story of how the fight went, readable at a glance.

How you play

• Kindling — Solo practice against Cinder, the bot ladder from Spark up to Torch — no account, no rival, just the board.
• Duels — Two flames, one board, straight fight — invite a friend with a link or match with a stranger online.
• Free-for-all — Three or four flames share a bigger board — it's last flame standing as the outer ring burns inward.

The Heat ladder

Rated duels move a rating called Heat, and Heat places every player on a seven-tier ladder — Spark, Ember, Flame, Blaze, Inferno, Torch, and the apex tier, Torris itself. Beat rivals hotter than you and you climb faster.
