What is Torris?

Torris is an online turn-based strategy game for 2-4 players. Each turn you slide your flame in a straight line, and every tile you leave burns to ash — so the board keeps shrinking. Trap your rivals with nothing left to burn and you win. Most matches take about two minutes.

Common questions

How do you play Torris?

Tap a glowing tile, then tap it again to slide your flame there in a straight line. Every tile you leave behind burns and blocks everyone. Leave a rival with no legal move and you win. The full rules live in the Firecraft.

What is Surge?

Your once-per-game escape: Surge lets your flame leap across burned tiles in one straight slide. Save it — when the ash closes in, Surge is often the difference between trapped and winning.

Is Torris free?

Yes. Free to play, every mode, no download and no account required.

How many players can play?

Two to four. Two-player games are head-to-head duels; three and four players are last-flame-standing, with the board's outer ring burning inward to force the fight.

Is Torris multiplayer or single-player?

Both. Invite a friend with a link or match with a stranger online, or learn the board in Kindling, the solo practice mode, sparring against Cinder the trainer.

Do I need an account to play?

No — guest play is the default and every mode is open to guests. A Google sign-in is optional and only carries your Heat rating, streak, and match history across devices.

How long does a match take?

About two minutes. Each player has a short turn clock, so games stay fast and nobody waits around.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Torris runs in any modern browser — phone, tablet, or desktop — with nothing to install. A match fits in two minutes, built for a pocket-sized session.
